     Louis J Schoell was born in 1895. He married Ethel Mae Lockmyer, daughter of Charles Lockmyer and Lettitia Walters, on 16 January 1918 at Camden, Camden County, New Jersey. Louis J Schoell died in 1968. He was buried at New Camden Cemetery, Camden, Camden County, New Jersey.

He transferred his membership to Holy Trinity ELCA congregation about 2000.² He was actively involved in several organizations that promote nonviolence and justice, including The Albert Einstein Institution, United Nations Association of the USA, Lutheran Peace Fellowship (both its national office and a chapter local to Wake County, North Carolina), and a North Carolina State Fair Peace Booth steering committee.
