     Janet was born on 6 October 1924 at Franklin County, North Carolina. She married Frank Clyde Sowers on 20 April 1948 at Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.¹ Janet Vaughan died on 29 August 2021 at Pineville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, at age 96. She was buried on 24 September 2021 at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina.
     Janet Vaughan was also known as Millie Janet Vaughan. She graduated in 1946 from Mary Elizabeth School of Nursing Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. As of 20 April 1948, her married name was Sowers.¹ She resided at Kannapolis, North Carolina, from 1949 to 2008. She was employed by Five Oaks Nursing Home at Concord, North Carolina.
